    Hi

On the homepage you can see the CTA buttons 'Read more' below each article. I don't know how I can change 'Read more' to 'Lees meer'.

Could you help me with this, please? Thanks in advance.

    Hey Sofie,

    Try using this Plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/say-what/ .

In The "Text Domain" field write "salient" without quotes . If you are trying to change woocommerce words  add "woocommerce" in "Text domain" . The fields are case-sensitive .

    Thanks

Thanks for the support. I installed the plugin, added 'salient' in 'Text changes', but there's still the 'Read more' on the CTA buttons.

Could you tell me what to do next?

    Thanks,

    Sophie

    Hey there,

    Thanks for reaching in,

This is weird. Can you please give us a temporary admin access to your site? We'll be in a better place to spot anything suspicious from here.

You can add new users by going to Users > Add New set the user and password for us, set the role to admin and send the info here. You can navigate here for more details; https://make.wordpress.org/support/user-manual/customizing-wordpress/managing-users-on-your-wordpress-site/adding-users-to-your-wordpress-site/

Hope to hear from you soon!

    Hi there,

Thank you for getting back to us and for giving us access.

In the same "Text Changes" previously mentioned, enter "Read More" without the quotes in the Original String field and "Lees meer" in the Replacement String field as shown in the screenshot below:

I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards.

    Hi Andrew,

I did what you asked, but it still doesn't work. I made you user of my website. Please feel free to unleash your knowledge into the back-end.

Thanks in advance! It's quite annoying that my readers still see that nasty button...

    With kind regards

    Hi there,

Thank you for getting back to us.

This is weird. Try flushing all caches you have installed on your site and server and see if that helps. If not, do a quick plugin compatibility test. Deactivate all 3rd party plugins (plugins not bundled with the theme) except for Say What? clear your caches and check back on the issue. If it's resolved, activate each plugin one by one, checking each time if the issue returns, so we can identify the conflicting plugin. Let us know your results.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Best Regards.

    Hi Andrew

I've been working all day to solve this problem but it ain't gonna work so I made some adjustments to my website as to 'avoid' the nasty, error buttons. In Fame Themes, for example, I can adjust/ translate words like 'by', 'author', 'date', 'read more', 'no comments', ... ...  so easily in Customizer, and in Salient themes this is all some big secret... If there is one simple way to edit these post features, please tell me. This is an exemplary page where the problem still occurs: http://contentplus.site/communicatiebudget/

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey there,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Could you try reinstalling the Say What? so that we can investigate this further.

If not, please take a look at the following article on theme translations: https://themenectar.ticksy.com//article/2242

As mentioned in the article you could try using Loco Translate to change the button text.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

    Best Regards.
