Please advise. also how do i remove the Google icon at the bottom right of the page.

The theme recommends the contact form 7 plugin for your form needs as it works well with the theme.
As for what the form does its not something we can help with as its up to you.
There might be other plugins that can fit that exact need also.
The theme does not have native form support that is why we recommend that contact form 7 plugin as the theme.
