    Hello,

I'm trying to add this paragraph of text below my footer widgets but couldn't do it using the footer settings in the Salient Theme Options. I ended up adding it manually into the footer.php but I'm finding that it disappears each time I update the theme.

Is there a way for me to implement it in another way so that it's permanent and won't be overwritten?

    Thanks!

    Hey Again,

You can use the new "Global Section" feature: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/page-builder-global-sections/ or add the edits to a footer.php in a Child Theme so that when the Theme is updated the "footer.php" file is not replaced and the changes retain.

    Thanks

    Thank you!

I've added a global section but can only add it to after page content (before the footer). I know it's a new feature but I hope you can add another option for after the footer as well in the future.

I've re-added the section to the footer.php but am finding that external links are linking to my parent slug ex: <a href="https://softwareconnect.com/employee-scheduling/hyre-employee-shift-scheduling/"> goes to https://www.hyrestaff.com/"https://softwareconnect.com/employee-scheduling/hyre-employee-shift-scheduling/"

It used to connect externally when I first started manually adding the links. Is there a way to fix it? Thank you

    Hey Again,

The Global Section feature was added to replace the Theme Footer therefore if you wish to add the links after it try creating the Footer Widgets Area as well as the Copyright area using the page builder.

If you wish to use the Widgets you can use the "Widgetized Sidebar" Page Element in the Page Builder.

    Thanks
