Please try this- First, remove the favicon that you uploaded through Appearance >> Customize option. Then install the “Favicon by RealFavicon Generator” plugin using this link https://wordpress.org/plugins/favicon-by-realfavicongenerator/. Upload the picture that you want to use as the favicon. The picture should be in jpg or png format. The plugin then will redirect you to their website where the .ico file will be generated. Complete the setup and your favicon should be showing front end.
I am not able to adjust the favicon. I saw some old tickets but it seems that the structure in Salient settings has changed, are you able to help out?
