I purchased the Salient theme which contains Salient Page Builder built on top of Visual Composer. However, Salient Page Builder only provides few elements to work with.
I would specifically appreciate Post Grid's custom query as I want to display post grid filtered by specific taxonomies.
What can I do to use default Visual Composer or to add some more default VC Elements into Salient Page Builder?
Yes we only have few as to reduce the complexity for users . I am afraid there is no such solution available as if you use the Original WPBakery VC the Salient Theme Functions wont work . Have seen a couple of users use the Ultimate Addons Plugin though cannot guarantee 100% compatibility with Salient.
Well this solution I do not find appropriate. Is there a way I could modify functions.php in the (or any other part of) child theme to add specific elements into Salient Page Builder?
The Salient VC Plugin is a Stripped Out Version and elements have not only been disabled but the php code has been removed too . So the options cant be added with filters via functions.php .
