Hi there! I have a child theme activated then i created a folder salient-child/nectar/tinymce/ and inside i copied the file shortcode-processing.php in order to get some customization done.

1. The code may have an error - Ensure that there are no errors in the code, you may also create a testing environment locally, then test the code with the parent theme there and see if it works. If it doesn't then you may need to check the syntax.
2. There may be plugins overriding the functionality - kindly disable all of your plugins apart from the recommended ones and see if this issue still exists.
If it resolves the issue I am going to then ask you to activate the disabled plugins one by one and test the page to see if we can isolate the conflicting plugin if that is the case.

3. You may need to update the theme - Kindly follow the guide here to updating the theme and see if that works: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/
