    Hi There,

We made some changes to our website to include a video slider on the home page. It works great on most devices, but we have noticed it does not work on a few other computers we tested. It just shows a blank slide when it does not work. We all have the same version of chrome and have noticed the problem on IE and Firefox.

I have looked over some past support tickets and some purposed solution was to go into the htaccess to fix the problem, however, we use flywheel as a hosting platform and they do not offer htaccess.

I would like your team to look into this issue and determine how to fix the problem as I feel it might be either a theme or hosting issue problem with the Nectar slide. Please let me know what other information you need.

    Hey Vijay,

    Sorry for the Weekend Delay.

Have you had a look at this article : Troubleshooting Video Backgrounds .  Make sure to pass your vidoes through the online convertors so they are as per standard.

    Thanks

    Hi Tahir,

I cannot do the #1 suggestion because we use FlyWheel as a hosting service and they do not allow for htaccess.

I converted the video through the suggested tool. There still seems to be an issue with playback. This seems to happen with some older computers that are about 3-5 years old. They all have the same updated Chrome version though.

    Hi There again,

FlyWheel was able to input the server changes on their end. I also uploaded a new converted webm file from the conversion website on the link you provided Tahir.

We still have the same issue though. The video won't play on some computers. Any other ideas?

    Hey Again,

I am seeing a space and a dot in the video filenames , That could be causing parsing issues in certain browsers . Try renaming it .

Also check for Browser Console Errors : https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Your_Browser_to_Diagnose_JavaScript_Errors .

    Hi Tahir,

Removing the space and dot in the file names fixed the issue. Thank you so much!
