The current version of Salient (7.5+) now has a field in the Salient Options Panel > General Settings > Css/Script Related tab for adding in your API key. Once you have added in the API key for google maps it will load.
Moreover try testing for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.
Found the problem! Thanks so much. Modern Events Calendar overrides the API. I had to put the API in both places, and ignore Google Maps API. Problem resolved.
Hey there!
I added in the API key for maps... and it still won't load. I tried changing API manually in JS, and still it doesn't work... any suggestions?
Google Chrome reports that the API key is not loading.
