    I am building a new site with Salient 8.0, and can't seem to find a configuration that will move the copyright section out of the footer widget area and into the copyright section with black background.

    Hey Again,

    I am afraid its not possible . You can try and add Background Color to the Copyright div instead . 

    Let me know the page url so that i can write up the custom css for whats possible.
