Is there a script I suppose...but don't know how to get it.

Now I changed the background but text color is still white even if I changed like this:

This seems like a css glitch , have noted to look into this for upcoming updates.
Add this into the Custom CSS box located in your Salient Options panel (Make Sure there are no red cross in the Box) :
