Currently Salient uses a plugin called prettyPhoto which has not been updated in the last 2 years. While using the plugin with Salient you cannot use the youtube video on a https website, because it has an insecure source. This problem can be fixed by adding a s to http in the prettyPhoto plugin on line 282. There is already a pull request, https://github.com/scaron/prettyphoto/pull/164/commits/c4de60b9eea798b6e1d22c53845ee855cc0e5a66, but its has not been aproved.
Thanks for letting us know. Have noted to have this fixed in the upcoming version .In the meantime you could switch to the Magnific Ligthbox Option in Salient Theme Options -> General Settings -> Fucntionality .

Hi,
I'm using Salient Theme Version 8.0.15 and Salient VC 5.0.1. The last change made to prettyPhoto was in 7.0.8. in which the issue has not been fixed.
Just to be sure I updated the theme, but it changed nothing.
Thanks for letting us know. Have noted to have this fixed in the upcoming version .In the meantime you could switch to the Magnific Ligthbox Option in Salient Theme Options -> General Settings -> Fucntionality .
