Hi. I noticed that font sizes vary in some cases considerably between screen sizes. I realise that there is no full control over font rendering but this difference seems extreme. it's a custom header <h3>. see attached.
If you have set the Values in Salient Theme Options Panel -> Typography Section - >Heading 1 to Heading 6 then the responsive css should automatically work .
The Percentage depends on the Font being used so you will have to experiment with how you want them.
Hi Tahir, i have read about upgrading but I am not sure what I am dealing with. Is Salient a child theme? If I have changed the settings in the Salient panel are they considered customisations which change the code / php files?
If you have only changed the Salient Theme Options Panel .Those wont get lost . Though you can Export them just to be safe as when you update the Theme only the Theme php js files are replaced with new ones .
Thank you. One last question for now: I bought the theme for a client website. once the site goes live he wants me to transfer the theme to him so that he gets updates and support etc. how do I do that?

Hey Again,
Please update the theme to Salient 8.0.1 and use the new Responsive Typography Settings :
Update the theme by following this guide: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/ .
Best.

Thanks Tahir. Are there any recommended percentages for mobile and tablet?
I'd also like to know what will happen to all my customisations I made in the Salient settings and in the custom css field after
1. a theme update and after
2. a wordpress update.
Will anything be lost?

This article should explain in detail regarding updates :https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/upgrade-wordpress-themes-even-if-they-are-customized/ .

Simply set up the Envato Market Plugin on the Site so he can access the updates. There is no Transfer Option.
