    I've imported Salient zip and activated the theme.

    My issue: my website looks exactly the same, whether I stick with the basic Salient theme or import a demo from the Demo Importer panel. No dummy text or dummy photos - just a bare-looking page.

    Appreciate your assistance.

    Hey 

    Your PHP Settings are likely not correct. 

    You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin called WordPress phpinfo http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-php-info/

    Recommended PHP configuration limits are as follows:

    • max_execution_time 60
    • memory_limit 256M
    • post_max_size 48M
    • upload_max_filesize 48M

    Please have your hosting provider fix this for you so it can be installed correctly.

    I've downloaded the PHPinfo plugin, and my settings exceed the max you've outlined below - so shouldn't this be fine as-is?

    max_execution_time 120

    memory_limit 768M

    post_max_size 128M

    upload_max_filesize 128M

    Could you allow us to log in to your website backend dashboard so we can check on this for you more?. We are gonna need the username and password of admin user as well as the login url.

    You seem to be importing over existing content and plugins. Please Deactivate all plugins and then try .

    Please update to Salient Theme Version 8.0.2 and test.

    To get a list of Bug Fixes and new Feature addons in the Latest Theme update,  the changelog can be viewed here : http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html .
