The Page Builder is not working at all.

In page editing mode I see the blue PAGE BUILDER button beneath "Permalink..." and my mouse indicates it's an active button when hovering above, but when I'm clicking on it nothing happens.

Below is the WYSIWYG window of wordpress and than there are several options like "Page Full Screen Rows" etc.

The Installation is a fresh one from yesterday and I have WordPress 4.8.1, PHP 5.6.31 and  the following Plugins installed:

    - Akismet Anti-Spam V.3.3.5 (deactivated)

    -Contact Form 7 V.4.9 (deactivated)

    - Intuitive Custom Post Order V.3.1.0 (deactivated)

    - Salient Visual Composer V.5.2.1 (activated)

    - WordPress phpinfo() V16.2 (activated)

    Hey

Your PHP Settings are likely not correct.

You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin called WordPress phpinfo http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-php-info/

Recommended PHP configuration limits are as follows:

    • max_execution_time 60
    • memory_limit 256M
    • post_max_size 48M
    • upload_max_filesize 48M

Please have your hosting provider fix this for you so it can be installed correctly.

    Thanks

    Hi Tahir,

    Thanks for your answer.

I have now php 7.0.22 running and the PHP Info plugin gives me back the following limits:

    - max_execution_time 120

    - memory_limit 256M

    - post_max_size 76M

    - upload_max_filesize 64M

Unfortunately the Page Builder is still not working.

    Hey Again,

Please update to Salient Theme Version 8.0.2 and Salient VC 5.2.1.

If you are not seeing the Plugin Update Notification you need to uncheck the " Disable Theme Reccomended Plugin Notifications " Field in "Salient Theme Options Panel"  -> General Settings -> "Toggle Theme Features" Section .

Salient VC 4.9.2 and earlier users will need to delete the plugin from your plugins section in the WordPress admin panel before installing the current version in Appearance > Install Plugins - This is necessary due to a bug in the Salient VC 4.9.2 which prevents regular updating.

To get a list of Bug Fixes and new Feature addons in the Latest Theme update,  the changelog can be viewed here : http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html .

Update the theme by following this guide: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/ .

    Best.

I'm having the exact same issue - i'm currently on Salient 8.0.2 and VC 5.2.1 as recommended.

When i click the big blue VC button - no action, except a small pop-up in bottom left saying: Run Script ";"

I already had the newest versions of the theme and plugin installed, Salient 8.0.2 and VC 5.2.1 but it wasn't working.

I deleted now the wordpress installation from the webspace and started completely from scratch as followed:

    1. I installed Wordpress (V.4.8.1)

    2. I downloaded the PHPinfo (V.16.2) plugin and checked the PHP settings which are as followed:

      -  PHP V.7.0.22

     - max_execution_time 120

      - memory_limit 256M

      - post_max_size 76M

      - upload_max_filesize 64M

    3. I downloaded the Theme Package again from Envato Market and the unzipped folder has the following name:

      - themeforest-4363266-salient-responsive-multipurpose-theme

    4. I installed the "salient.zip" file from the package through Appearance -> Themes -> Add New

    5. I installed the prepackaged plugin "Salient Visual Composer" through the recommended plugin installation wizard that comes after theme installation.

So the latest versions are installed on a fresh wordpress installation (see screenshots)

But the PAGE BUILDER button has still no function and the PAGE BUILDER is NOT working.

Hi - I've found a temporary solution that works for me (hopefully does for you too).

Basically - it works in chrome for me.  Doesn't work in Safari or Fire fox - which isn't ideal - but at least i can work now.

Be good to get a proper solution though.

    Hi gyse69,

Thank you very very much for the work around!

    Hi ThemeNectar,

    That's really unsatisfying!

First that customers have to help other customers!

Second that I have to use such a poor work around now to use your theme and I hope you will provide a fix for that issue ASAP... hopefully with an updated version of the plugin. It can't be that your plugin is not supporting all major browsers such as Safari and Fire Fox!

If you can't provide an updated version of the plugin within 1-3 days, please make an older version of the plugin available that works in Safari.

    Thanks
