    Hi,


    Ive recently pushed an update on a website and cleared all browser, server side and caching plugin cache as expected.

    Everything is looking ok for me but some of my clients are reporting seeing the old colours in places and the typography within the main nectar slider showing as an old serif font and not the modern sans serif font Ive selected.
    whilst I understand that this sounds like a caching issue..if Ive cleared ALL cache, why are some visitors seeing a weird display of certain areas?

    Hey there Damien, 

    Thank you for contacting us. I'd be happy to help. 

    This issue is due to the client's browser having a cached version of the site. For the clients that are seeing the old typography, ask them to clear their cache and see if the issue persists. 

    Also, can you confirm if you're using the Latest version of Salient, which is 8.1.0?

    Thanks for the reply and I understand the caching issue. Does that also mean that for every single user who has visited the site they will continue to see a semi broken site until they clear their cache?

    Hey there,

    Thanks for reaching in.

    Please use https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/ to clear your wordpress cache so your clients can see the site as it is without needing to clear their own individual caches.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your reply. Yes, im using WP rocket and have cleared every possible Cache but it seems unless the end user also clears their browser cache then they will see a mix of old and new.

    Not really solved but its ok. Just wanted to know if there was any way of making sure all visitors see the correct version of the site even after I've cleared server side cache and plugin cache. No to worry tho. thanks for you help and amazing theme and support.
