When I click on a category in my blog, a completely different page appears. The word “category” cannot be changed and it doesn’t look at all like my overview blogpage.
sorry, but unfortunately this is not the solution ;-)
In the example-links that I have formerly sent to you from the Salient demo there are also no fullscreen headers in use (besides the fact that I don't want to use fullscreen headers). Plus it doesn't help with the title in the header. In the Salient example when I choose a category from the overview blog page, and a page is being reloaded with only the articles that belong to this category, the wording and image in the header stay exactly the same whereas in my case the wording in the header then changes to "Category" and "the-name-of-the-category". How can I make it either stay the same as my blog-overview or - in the best case - even edit text and image individually?
regards, *alice.
PS: for a better understanding I have attached 2 screenshots: one from my category page and one from the salient demo category page "fashion".
Could you allow us to log in to your website backend dashboard so we can check on this for you more?. We are gonna need the username and password of admin user as well as the login url.
The demo site is running an older version of the theme and it works a bit differently i.e. the blog header image set at salient \ blog - styling - archive header background image will not appear on your main blog page but it will appear as the header image on all your post category pages.
This will cover - keep the same image per post category. By the way to have a different header image you can set one by editing the post category and set an image from the category header image option on the post category edit page.
The text on the header will change i.e. the category word stays the same but the category title changes from category page to category page.
We have notified the developers about his as its a bug i.e. blog - styling - archive header background image not showing on the main blog page.
Hope this reduces the complexity on this ticket and clears things up.
Hi! I am experiencing the same problem. The category page only shows "Our News - fresh from the press", and the image doesn't change. How can I fix this? http://nye.bordar.no/category/bardar/
Hi,
What must I do in order to have a category blog page just like your demo http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-startup/category/fashion where the header looks just like the overview blog page http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-startup/blog/

I would like it to work like yours ;-)

I'm having the same issue. Tried everything to remove the word "category" above the title.

Hi admin_freddy,
Did you try the fixes on the message we send Alice?
Should be a workaround for now.
Please confirm.
Hi!
I have tried, but nothing happens. Can this be because I have a Wordpress multisite? So I will have to make the changes at the main blog site?
Anders
Hi Anders,
Apologies for the late reply.
Could you try this on one of the sites and then see if it works.
You might need to replicate this for every site in the network.
Hope this helps.
