I have a portfolio website with blog articles and photo's albums (portfolio). Now I want to have the same categories for both of them.
For example I have a blog post about a trip to Rome with a corresponding photo album about photo's of Rome. Is there a way to let both of them have the same category?
Right now, I have to setup two categories, one for the blogposts and one for the portfolio with the same name. The downside of this method is that if I click on the category I can only see search results for the post OR the portfolio (url.com/articles/rome OR url.com/articles/rome).
I am afraid WP Does not work that way . For Each Post type you will need a Different Category . Try changing the Portfolio Slug to Photos in Salient Theme Options Panel -> Portfolio Section and that should make it better .
