    Hey guys,

whenever I try to save changes within the Salient Options Panel the following error occurs: "There was a problem with your action. Please try again or reload the page."

    Console shows following error:

"POST http://mypage.net/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 500 (Internal Server Error)

    send @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:4
    ajax @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:4
    a.redux.ajax_save @ redux.min.js?ver=3.6.5:1
    (anonymous) @ redux.min.js?ver=3.6.5:1
    dispatch @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3
    r.handle @ jquery.js?ver=1.12.4:3

There was an error saving. Here is the result of your action:

    redux.min.js?ver=3.6.5:1"

Can you please help me with that thanks.

    Hey

Your PHP Settings are likely not correct.

You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin called WordPress phpinfo http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-php-info/

Recommended PHP configuration limits are as follows:

    • max_execution_time 60
    • memory_limit 256M
    • post_max_size 48M
    • upload_max_filesize 48M

Please have your hosting provider fix this for you so it can be installed correctly.

    Thanks

    Hey Tahir,

    thanks for your response.

I checked the PHP and it should be fine:

    max_execution_time360
    memory_limit256M
    upload_max_filesize128M
    post_max_size128M

Also I have the current version of Salient.

Do you have any other ideas what can be causing this error?

    Cheers,

    Marco

    Hey Again,
Please check for server php errors using this guide: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/your-complete-guide-to-troubleshooting-wordpress/ . It would be best to contact the hosting provider and have them look into this as they are aware of the Server Configuration Details .

    Hi Thair,

I talked to my Hosting Provider and the guys from Redux.

They said I should send you the attached error-log.

Can you please check this. Thanks.

    Cheers,

    Marco

    Hey Again,

Which version of PHP are you using ?. Could you have them update as another user just solved this issue by upping the php version .

    Hi Tahir,

ok yes that might be the problem as the current site is running on 5.2.10 PHP.

For now I solved it by installing the Redux Plugin.

    Thanks for your help.

    Cheers,

    Marco
