according to several visitors of our website we have appearance problems since the update of the new theme version 8.5.0
The following problems occur:
Wrong use of fonts: Google fonts don't render and wrong appearance of "ö, ü, ä etc."
Wrong colors: Turquoise for links instead of the defined dark orange.
Wrong background-color on mobile menu: turquoise instead of orange.
Wrong font-size (too big)
I personally can't verify these problems on my system, but it appears on different devices of Website-Visitors since the update (mobiles and windows computers).
Be sure to turn on Load Ext Chars Option and the relevant font subset: http://prntscr.com/9q46x7 . Also make sure the font has those special characters in it that are needed for the language .

Please update to Salient Theme Version 8.5.1 and Salient VC 5.2.2.
If you are not seeing the Plugin Update Notification you need to uncheck the " Disable Theme Reccomended Plugin Notifications " Field in "Salient Theme Options Panel" -> General Settings -> "Toggle Theme Features" Section .

Try using the Optimization plugins recommended in this Article http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/performance-optimization-guide/ and check if that makes a difference .

One more info: The problems occur only on special pages and only on mobile phones (iPhone). Does it have something to do with the portfolio? Because it seems to be only on pages, where the portfolio-element is included . This is http://herstory-history.com/ and http://herstory-history.com/gott-mutter-darstellungen
