    Hello,

My wordpress admin bar and dashboard are missing completely. Not loading. Website loading fine otherwise. I recently performed a theme update and today there was a wordpress update that happened... I checked the footer.php file and also turned off all plugins by breaking my file link via ftp : and still no admin bar. So I believe the issue is with the theme. Any ideas??

I also renamed my .htaccess file and there was no change. If I visit https://ellicottvillebrewing.com/wp-login.php to try to log back in, I realize now the entire wordpress backend is missing. Site is live. Any ideas?

OK the problem appears to be with my child theme. So I think I will need to rebuild a new one. Unless you have any quick solutions? Kind of a strange issue. Now that it's reactivated it's working OK for the time being; But hosting company and I were having the same issues on different browsers. But not it's reactivated and working. Weird!

Any ideas on how a child theme could cause WP backend to disappear completely? We turned off the theme and reverted to default theme; WP dashboard came back with default theme; So then we turned Child back on, and WP dashboard was restored and I was able to log back in. Both hosting company and I are stumped by it; Made zero changes to the child theme or otherwise. Doesn't appear to be a plugin conflict b/c I had turned them all off with no results of restoring WP backend. Just weird!

    Hey Again,

The New update requires the latest PHP version so its likely the hosting provider updated it and hence its working correctly now .

    Tahir,

Interesting!.... Thanks for taking the time to read my questions. Hosting co. did not mention updating anything on their end while we were troubleshooting, but your suggestion sure would make more sense than it being the child theme w/ no changes made.

Thanks! Ticket can be closed :)
