I've been doing a ton of research around how to change the placeholder text in Contact Form 7. I'm able to style everything else I want to, but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out the placeholder text.
We tried to make this work with this CSS shown on this article, https://css-tricks.com/almanac/selectors/p/placeholder/, but it does not seem to work because the placeholder attribute is not added to the contact form 7 input feild i.e. the html for input does not have and attribute for placeholder.
That might be the why the CSS is not working. You can contact, contact form 7 support and see if they can help with this since that is nto really part of the theme.

Sure, her you go. You can see that I change the text color to white--the input text. But Placeholder is still a default gray.
Thanks.
