Please update to Salient Theme Version 8.5.1 and Salient VC 5.2.2.
If you are not seeing the Plugin Update Notification you need to uncheck the " Disable Theme Reccomended Plugin Notifications " Field in "Salient Theme Options Panel" -> General Settings -> "Toggle Theme Features" Section .
Seems like some plugin issue. Have you tried plugin compatibility test. Please try deactivating your third party plugins one by one while clearing your cache each time in order to figure out if one of them is causing this.
I'm having the same issue on Mac OSX with both Safari and Firefox. The Fancy Box doesn't link anywhere; when the cursor moves over the text it transforms into the text tool but that's it. (I am running Salient 8.5.3 and the VC 5.2.4. with a freshly installed Wordpress 4.9.)
When clicking a link in a Fancy Box on IE11/Edge nothing happens (Chrome works ok)

It didn't solve my problem (same behaviour on IE11).
In addition i now have problems with the off canvas menu:
- Chrome: not showing up
- IE 11: Showing up but not working (cliking on an item doesn't open the specific page but always the same page (the page the off canvas menu started)
Menu issues fixed!
Fancy Box IE11 still the same issue

I deactivated the plugins,still the same behaviour.
As i mentioned earlier the same behaviour on your demo Salient website: Corporate Creative" demo.
