I have a page with video banner but that doesn't loading in safari. I have added the .mp4, .webm and .ogv files as per the salient document but no luck with safari yet.. Is there any workaround to make this work?
I have found the issue and fixed it. Its a safari browser setting and by default it automatically stop playing videos. I have enabled that and its working fine now.
At the moment there is not hot fix/ workaround for that.
I'm afraid that would require a bit of customization which is beyond the scope of our support. You can contact one of our partners http://wpkraken.io/ or https://codeable.io/ for that. Hope this helps, Regards
@cjweb How are you displaying the video background? I have a site with video backgrounds that play fine in Safari 11.0.2 and I haven't changed any of the default preferences.
The weird thing is when I view your site the video doesn't play, but mine plays fine. Perhaps it depends on the video file you're using. Have you included an MP4 + webm + ogv?
I ll tell you something, I dont have an autoplay video in page, just link to a vimeo. Still did not load. I am on Sierra, not High Sierra. Only thing that helps is turn of the Adblock. I dont know why... I am on safari 11.0.1 - autoplay video function forcing to stop video playback is turned off. I am so angry cause I bought a theme just a few hours before big sale - 50% off. When I tried to contact autors of the theme and ask them if they could be so nice and gave me those 50%. They told me pretilly(they cant help me with that) fuck off. The theme doesnt work so I think that I should contant Envato to make a refund.... Sorry for my bad english, but I dont know what to do with this useless theme and I am hopeless :(
You should just keep calm, open a ticket and explain the issue clearly + include links to the site so the guys can help where they can. They give excellent help to people here every day.
There's no need to swear and get angry as that gets you nowhere. If you purchased the theme before the sale try contacting Envato directly. I'm guessing they said no because they didn't have an ability to refund it. All refunds are processed directly via Envato as far as i'm aware.

Hi there,
I have found the issue and fixed it. Its a safari browser setting and by default it automatically stop playing videos. I have enabled that and its working fine now.
Thank you for the help anyway..
I found out, that its caused by AdBlock turned on. Is there any way to fix this, please ?
In our country is AdBlock used commonly.
Thanks for the answer.
All video backgrounds have stopped auto playing in the latest version of Safari (v11.01).

It seems to be an issue caused by the High-Sierra update - Safari no longer auto-plays videos unless the user specifies it in Safari's preferences.
Does anyone know of a workaround?

Thanks @Brendan , that is helpful feedback.
Both cases are using a single slide Nectar slider with all 3 videos formats provided: MP4 + WEBM + OGV
Are you using the Page Header video option?
CJ
So in my case - using a video background in a Nectar slide - the video file itself makes a difference.
I read somewhere that perhaps audio-less videos are allowed to autoplay, but it could also be the codec, or the resolution pethaps?
I will find out tomorrow and report back.
To autoplay in the latest version of Safari, videos must not have audio.
Can confirm, all my autoplaying videos have no audio also. (Autoplaying video with audio is incredibly annoying)
