    I  am trying to upload Salient for my wordpress website and it does not install. 

    It goes through the upload and post the same, the screen says, 'Do you want to do this'? 

    I have attached a screen shot of the problem. Can you help? Thanks.

    Hey 

    Your PHP Settings are likely not correct. Also ensure you are running the latest version of PHP on the server

    You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin called WordPress phpinfo http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-php-info/

    Recommended PHP configuration limits are as follows:

    • max_execution_time 60
    • memory_limit 256M
    • post_max_size 48M
    • upload_max_filesize 48M

    Please have your hosting provider fix this for you so it can be installed correctly.

    Thanks for this. I configured the PHP settings as per your instructions and then tried installing. It did not throw the same error but I get an error saying that the theme cannot be installed and the theme is missing the style.css stylesheet. Please see attachment for error. 

    The configurations has been changed to as follows:

    • max_execution_time 60
    • memory_limit 512M
    • post_max_size 128M
    • upload_max_filesize 1G

    In order to install it, you have to unzip it first the upload the salient.zip file

    Please follow this guide on how to install the theme. http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/installation/
