Background Images Get Blown Up

    Hi there,

Normally, working with Salient is a pleasure. However, lately, when working with background images, we are experiencing random and uncontrollable issues with background images being blown up way out of any rational proportions. Sometimes it'll work just fine.. then I'll change some text in a text box and then BAMM, background images go haywire. I've tried countless combinations of settings to get the bg images back to normal, but once they go haywire, it's impossible to get them back to normal without completely starting the page design over again (and we don't have revisions because we host with WPengine). PLEASE HELP!! This is making it impossible to use Salient right now.

    Hey there,

    Thanks for reaching in,

Seems like some plugin conflict. Have you tried plugin compatibility test. Please try deactivating your third party plugins one by one while clearing your cache each time in order to figure out if one of them is causing this.

    Hope this helps,

    Regards

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the quick response! I have disabled ALL plugins, and now none of the background images are working at all. Please see the example URL: http://solarcrft.staging.wpengine.com/about-us-test/

    Hi Andrew,

After resetting all background images, they came back. But the exact problem still persists. No plugins are enabled right now except for Salient Visual Composer: http://solarcrft.staging.wpengine.com/about-us-test/

    Hey there,

    Thanks for reaching in,

Did you remember to set up type as full width background? Also enable parallax background.

Please update to Salient Theme Version 8.5.3 and VC to 5.2.4 and let me know if the issue persists.

    Regards

Yes. I have tried that. And many other combinations of settings.

    Hey Again,

You seem to have the Ultimate Addons Plugin Enabled . Did you try deactivating it as it could be conflicting .
