I have spent hours reading comments and tickets to resolve this on my own and have been unsuccessful.
I have two issues:
1. I lose video quality when converting to webm.
2. The nectar video does not play in IE10.
This is everything I have done so far:
- Rendered the video in Adobe AE as a .avi file
- Encoded it in Adobe Media Encoder as a .mp4 using HD 1080p 1920x1080
- Used the video converter you suggested and converted to webm keeping the same settings as it was encoded in
- Also used the video converter you suggested and converted my .mp4 to .mp4 as you said in one ticket it helps further optimize it for the web
- Uploaded both the .mp4 and .webm to the nectar slider
- Added all the proper values in the .htaccess file MIME folder
- Tested the video URLS that you provided for testing purposes
My results are:
1. The .webm format lost significant video quality. If I play the .mp4 then the .webm you can see pixels and blurriness in the .webm format. Your test videos look identical when viewing them in both formats.
2. The video (although blurry) plays on Chrome and FF just fine, but for IE10 I only get the spinning circle. (Your test video played fine on IE10).
I have run out of things to test. Thanks for your help!
1. What were you using to convert? The odds are your bitrate got lowered. Try this converter: http://video.online-convert.com/convert-to-webm it's the one I used for all the demo videos and with it, I was able to keep the bitrate about equal :)
2. For some reason I'm actually able to load your video in IE10 & IE11 as well (I checked both for good measure). I've attached a screenshot of this below in regards. I also don't see any errors in the console or anything wrong with the formats you've supplied that I believe could interfere. (I'm using Windows7 by the way)
Have you already sorted the issue? If not, can you let me know what OS you're on and also if you've tried another computer to verify this?
1. I used the converter above that you recommended to convert my mp4 file to webm. The mp4 was encoded through Adobe Media Converter. I also used the above converter to convert my avi file to mp4 then from mp4 to webm. The webm video quality was the same for both. Once you said the bitrate may have gotten lowered I used the above converter again but I manually added the bitrate of the mp4 to the area that says 'change video bitrate'. Once i converted the file again the quality inproved significantly.
2. I tried on another computer and got the same result. I found this page from microsoft - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2532294 that talks about why videos won't play on IE and some steps to go through to fix the problems...like updating your plugins, etc. As soon as I updated Shockwave and Java the video played. So one of those updates fixed the issue. Still unsure why your test video worked without either of those things being updated.
Thanks for your help with these issues. It seems they are both pretty much fixed.

Hey Tammy, thanks for detailed report - could I get a URL to check on these issues for you?
Cheers :)
