I'm serving the Nectar Slider Videos from Amazon S3. The MIME types have been added to the files on S3 ( video/ogg , video/mp4 , video/webm ). The video plays well on Chrome, abit choppy on IE 11 but works. One FF I get the preview image, not the video. The status bar indicates that S3 is starting to load the video the preview image appears. Is there anything to be done here for FF ? Here are the results on various browsers: Chrome 31.0.1650.63. Video: Yes Firefox 26.0. Win 7 Video: No Preview Image: Yes Mozilla 5.0. Win 7 ( IE 11 ) Video Yes Safari 537.71. on Mac OS X Video: No ( not sure on this one - any Mac users plz let me know ) Thanks, Bill

    Hey again Bill,

when checking out the webm source for you video BG in Firefox directly I am also unable to get it to play:

    https://s3.amazonaws.com/capobythesea/treatmentatcapo/capobythesea+video+1.webmhd.webm

Can you try encoding the video through this: http://video.online-convert.com/convert-to-webm and see if you can get it to play correctly in the browser before supplying it as a src for the video bg?

    Cheers :)

    http://video.online-convert.com/convert-to-webm  keeps throwing errors ..

I've been using Miro Video Converter

I'm having the same issue with FF and Safarii on this new site:

http://arc.californiawellnessretreat.com/  this one was encoded at 4k per  your instructions ..

    Hey Bill!

Checking out your URL in Firefox, Safari & Chrome I'm seeing it load it correctly now - are you still experiencing this issue?

  • Bill replied

Its fixed.  It looks like the issue was with Miro Converter converting the .mov file to a .webm format.

Per your suggestion I used this link  http://video.online-convert.com/convert-to-webm   to convert and that fixed it.

Works great on all browsers now !

    Thanks for your help >>
