So i've downloaded the theme and it looks great, however when i went through the process of updating the theme, e.g. generating a code etc... I found that when i click to 'update available' link, nothing happens. Also i cant view the details of the new update with link next to the one that doesn't work.

The attached image is all i see when i click the 'view details' link.

    On a similar level.

I had some time on my hand and decided to go and update Wordpress and my site when I noticed it had been some time.

I got wordpress update just fine but when I went to do a clean install of Salient everything went sideways (I should have hit preview live site. I didnt).

After some database adjustments I was able to get the Wordpress site back up and running but no matter how I uninstall the Salient theme I get the following error on on the Live Preview.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in [PATH]/html/wp-content/themes/salient/functions.php on line 5703

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Again,

Please update to Salient Theme Version 8.5.4 and Salient VC 5.2.4.

If you are not seeing the Plugin Update Notification you need to uncheck the " Disable Theme Reccomended Plugin Notifications " Field in "Salient Theme Options Panel"  -> General Settings -> "Toggle Theme Features" Section .

To get a list of Bug Fixes and new Feature addons in the Latest Theme update,  the changelog can be viewed here : http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html .

Update the theme by following this guide: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/ .

    Best.

I actually just went in and deactivated all plugins and tried again and after a few browsers quits and reinstalls. It seems like that worked. I don't think I ever had Salient Visual Composer installed which may have been the issue, but when I the Live Preview actually worked it did in fact popup as an install.

Thanks for your help here. I think I'm good again!
