I'm new to your theme and everything works fine. I'm building a multilingual site with Polylang with Swedish as default language and I have translated the theme and plugins with Loco Translate. But I have one problem; I can't translate the widgets in the footer. I can find the text string translation place in the backend and change strings. But when I save nothing happens in the front end.
I have searched for information, but can't find anything like this.
In The "Text Domain" field write "salient" without quotes . If you are trying to change woocommerce words add "woocommerce" in "Text domain" . The fields are case-sensitive .

Try using this Plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/say-what/ .

Thank you for the answer, but I wasn't happy with it :)
I found the solution in Polylang...and maybe it can be interesting for you to know.
When you activate Polylang a drop down selector appears in the widget. So you can choose what language you want to use the widget in.
