Please update to Salient Theme Version 8.5.5 and Salient VC 5.4.7.
If you are not seeing the Plugin Update Notification you need to uncheck the " Disable Theme Reccomended Plugin Notifications " Field in "Salient Theme Options Panel" -> General Settings -> "Toggle Theme Features" Section .
I have updated the theme to the updated version however I am still getting the problem on iPad. Could you check it on your end to see if it is working for you?

On Safari, responsive iPad mode- the still image displays oddly with a white line above it.

Sorry for the late turn around, we can get overwhelmed sometimes by the number of tickets.
You need to update the Page builder as well.
