    When I activate the Salient WPBakery page builder plugin, I cannot edit pages as I end up with a 500 internal server error. I contacted my hosting support and I was referred back to here. I am not sure if it is compatibility issues or what not. What is the problem and how can it be fixed?

    Hey 

    Your PHP Settings are likely not correct. Also ensure you are running PHP version 7.1 and not 7.2 as its incompatible .

    You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin called WordPress phpinfo http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-php-info/

    Recommended PHP configuration limits are as follows:

    • max_execution_time 60
    • memory_limit 256M
    • post_max_size 48M
    • upload_max_filesize 48M

    Please have your hosting provider fix this for you so it can be installed correctly.
