Hello themeNectar,
i would like to ask for your help to understand an issue that i faced out. In my website i'm using several nectar sliders with an image in full width mode. But, i noticed that the responsive is not working with the image, since it crops the image when i resize the window to dimensions of phone / tablet.
I would like to ask for your confirmation and then if there's any fix for it.
Regards,
HB.
The sliders should scale down proportionally only clipping the edges slightly on mobile portrait and exposing them fully on mobile landscape. If you can supply me a URL to your own use case I can confirm the behavior is expected.
Hey ThemeNectar, i have no chance to give you a URL to access since my website is hosted in a server inside an intranet without ports opened to external access.
But the behavior is the same as the link i posted in this ticket ( slide 3/3 ). If you put your window in 1068px X 702 px, the boy's head will be cropped a bit, and we will not be able to see his head properly. For other side, if you change the dimensions of your window to 1260px X 702 px, we will able to see properly the boy's head.
I think during some intervals when we are changing the width, the height is static, and for that reason is normal that the edges are cropped a bit, then it's fixed when happens a new render of the image. Right?
That's correct - since the slider uses background images whose width is constantly changing but not the height, the edges will clip various amounts in each viewport. (There's 4 points where the height changes - large desktop, small desktop, ipad & phone).
If you needed the slider to constantly change it's height to ensure the full width of the image is shown at all times, it would take some custom development. However, you could always look into a slider like Slider Revolution which might have that option and is supported in the Page Builder inherently :)
