Gap between content and header

Hello, I have been using Salient since about v2.0, and first off let me say how impressed I am with the quality and support! I noticed after installing v 3.0 that there is a gap between the bottom of the header and the first row of content. I watched the youtube video on page builder, but I didn't see anything that addressed this problem. I tried deleting the page and staring fresh, and the problem still persists. Thanks, Bryant

I'd like to know what resolution you may have gotten to this situation. I'm experiencing the same thing.

    thank you,

    Mitch

Well, I thought I had it resloved due an extra blank element that I didn't see; but the gap is still present.

Which template are you using for your home page? Have you attempted to pick the code apart inside the template-home-n.php which renders these pages? I'm a bit lost when I get to this point, but sometimes I can figure out what's calling what, and specifically, which class or id is being affected in the stylesheet. I am pretty sure the "Default Template" is found in wp-content/themes/salient/index.php, and I've looked there for clues, but unsuccessfully.

I'm having the same issue. Using the "default" template.

Here's a look at what I want to remove...

Hey, I figured it out. The portfolio element was set in a row that was a boxed content, so the grey color was the content background. I watched the visual page builder video again and that was one of the warnings given.

I just changed the row that contained the full width portfolio to "full width content" and set the top padding to 0. Problem solved, there is no more gap between my full page portfolio and my header!

    Cheers Bryant!

Great detective work! Thanks! I'll be on thre lookout for that from now on. I think I did run into some places already where checking the "full width content" as opposed to the boxed content.
