I upgraded to the latest version 3.0.5 and I am using Wordpress 3.8 and the slider is not working. Why? I even started a new wordpress blog and it still does not work, either the home slider or nectar slider.

when I check out the source for the page you've provided I can see that the one slide you added doesn't have a background source defined. You must have an image or video supplied for each slide to allow it to load in.
If you want to allow me to log in i'd be glad to add an example slide for you :)
That would only work if the first slide at least had an image so the Slider could load in correctly (no logic in place for if there's no BG set). To get that to work you'd have to indeed use the black image BG.

I think the previous version just let you have a black background. Can I do that somehow or do I have to create a black image?
