Id like to use
WPBakery Page Builder for WordPress but the plugin breaks the site. (I get a 404 when I try to edit a page.) How can I activate at least most of the shortcodes? without breaking my Salient theme?

Hey Again,

Try using another Browser and Download in a Different Folder. The Themeforest Download section always has the latest version .

Please update to Salient Theme Version 8.5.5 and VC to 5.4.7.

To get a list of Bug Fixes and new Feature addons in the Latest Theme update, the changelog can be viewed here : http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html .

Update the theme by following this guide: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/

More specifically I want to use the pluging : https://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431
But there seams to be a conflict with Salient.

Hey Again,
Please use the Bundled Page Builder Plugin that comes with the Theme .

Your PHP Settings are likely not correct. Also ensure you are running PHP version 7.1 and not 7.2 as its incompatible .

You can verify your PHP configuration limits by installing a simple plugin called WordPress phpinfo http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-php-info/

Recommended PHP configuration limits are as follows:

max_execution_time 60
memory_limit 256M
post_max_size 48M
upload_max_filesize 48M

Please have your hosting provider fix this for you so it can be installed correctly.
