Hiii Phil,
the portfolio's filter is not working for me in last version of Chrome in mobile / tablet devices.
If i select one category, it filters and shows all the products related with the category. But then if i scroll down and scroll up to see the different products, when i scroll up, the filtered list dissappear and all products are showed again.
Can you help me ?
Regards,
HB.
I noticed that the salient live demo is not doing that, and it's all working. Since i don't remember any change that i did to the portfolio comportment, can you tell if in the last versions ( after Nov 2013 ) there was any fix to the portfolio ?
Ok if i'm not wrong i think this is a fixed issue in version 3.0.

I'm running now version 2.6.5. I will need to upgrade to version 3.0.5, so i would like to ask for your recommendation about the upgrade method. May i copy paste all files from 3.0 to my parents directory and replace old files for the new ones, and then do a manual merge of contents between 3.0's files and my child's theme files since i have some copies of the original theme that i changed to do what i wanted.
yes, it definitely sounds like it's time for an update :)
You can update by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, deleting the current version you have on your server and uploading the new. I recommend using FTP, but you can use the WP dashboard if you prefer. You won't lose any of your content or theme settings so don't worry about that if you were :)
i already updated the theme to the version 3.0, but i had to do some manual work. Since my Salient-Child have some files ( for example header.php ) copied and modified from Parent theme, if i want to that files to have the changes from the new parent's version, i have to do manual merge between the header.php from Child Theme and the header.php from the parent theme's new version. So i would like to know if there's any option to avoid this manual work, and turn everything automaticly.
Unfortunately there's no way to do that automatically, using some sort of version control like Git would make finding the specific line changes very easy though :)
I use SVN and comment all changes, but it still needs manual merge and sometimes if the region you change in new version of the theme is the same i changed to my website, it will be hard to merge the contents.

I tested my site's portfolio on Safari in Iphone and this doesn't happen. It's only happening in Chrome. Do you have any clue about it ?
