Is there a way to have the recent post images all default to the same size for images in the short code. Example: http://projectroto.com/ - the recent post short code under the main slider, the images are not all the same height. However they seem to be the same width. I am not concerned with image content being cut off as they are just previews but I do want the consistency of the same height and width for the image boxes. Thank you for your help, you have been great so far!

    Hey Ryan!

Yes, but it would require adding a new image size. The gist of the mod would be:

    1. opening the functions.php - where you can add the new image size
    2. opening nectar/tinymce/shortcode-processing.php - where you can add the image size to the recent posts shortcode
    3. Running this http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ to generate the new sizes for it

I could do this for you, but you'd have to keep track of the mod going forward with updates :0

    Cheers

I think I understood how to do steps 1 and 2 however I am unsure of exactly where to add the image size in the step one. If I have a child theme installed woudl I still need to "maintain" this mod?

You'd just need to maintain step 2 since the first will be handled in the functions.php child theme file but the second will need be directly added in the parent theme file. Also, i'm actually going to be adding this in by default in the next release so you could just hold off for 1-2 more weeks to get it by default :)

Awesome! I will Just wait until then. A nice feature to also build into that short code would be to allow the user to set how many recent post they would like ti display. So rather than just default to four, the user could set it to 8. And if the short code was used inside a column the it would simply break down to the next line (so four on top and four on the bottom with whatever content was o the left of right in the other column). Does that make sense? Anyways, really appreciate the hard work being put into this theme. I really hope it becomes the number one selling theme on Themeforest, it certainly deserves to be.

I updated to 4.0 today and I still do not see an option for this? Or is it done automatically?

    Hi,

I would like to find a solution to this too but not only for recent post but for recent work too.

When I have portrait picture in my recent work carousel it is really ugly and I would like to know how to set a max height so my portrait image are cut off or something.

And I would like to know where and what code I need to add in the step 2 on the shortcode.php

Also I saw the changlog but there is nothing that help us in there.

    Thank You

    Hey Samuel!

I am afraid we dont have a official solution for this. If you really need this modification done you could head on over to Envato Studio which is a service from Envato that offers paid WordPress customizations. I'm sure a developer on there would be able to wrap this up for you :)

    Thanks
