Hi, great theme.
In the theme options, I have turned on Automatic Post Excerpts.
When a blog post is set to Gallery format, on the main blog page, the post excerpt is showing for e.g.

At the moment my site is just local so am not able to send you a URL but I'm sure you can easily test this out.
if you're not going to supply any additional content in your editor for gallery posts just enter a blank space after the gallery element in the editor and it should also go away :)
Just noted that it only does this if there no other text in the standard editor.
i.e. when there is a wordpress gallery in the editor only and no other descriptive text
