Hi Guys, about to start a new project using Salient.
I want to install a child theme to offer some protection for potential changes in the future. I just want it set up and never have to worry about it again :) or have conflicts with Salient updates.
There is a ready made child theme in the all files and documentation download from themeforest.net zip. That zip will contain a salient-child zip you can use as a child theme right way.
There should not be any issues with update. The only one we foresee is maybe a major update where the theme gets revamped and fundermantaly changes. But there is a child theme that will always be provided regardless. And we are referring to changes in the theme files like PHP files and not theme options. Theme options are kept in the database.

What is the best method to achieve this, would it be the standard option in your documentation or a plugin, for example Child Theme Configurator.
Or any others that work particularly well with Salient?
