Hi,
Is it possible to have full width columns which are also responsive. I would like to have 2 columns which are full-width ( between the 2 of them of course) with an image background on each column and text on each column over the image. On a smaller device this would result in the images stacked ontop of each other.
Is this possible with the theme?
Regards
I've realised that in the latest version one can now have full width content. So if I have 2 full width columns side by side, is it possible to have an image background for each column and text overlayed on top of the image? It is easy to add the images to the columns but how then to have text over the top with maybe buttons as well.
this functionality is coming in the next featured based release - for now your method of using column classes is correct, but there's a bug that prevents the class from applying correctly. To fix that, please download this: fixed-file.zip and overwrite the existing file in your theme with it. (The directory to put it in is nectar/nectar-vc-addons)
I would like to be able to do this too. I got close by inserting full width elements into 1/2 columns. But my two columns overlap each other now. (see screenshot)
Can you tell me how? Unfortunately I do not have access to the website's files, so I can't overwrite any existing files, if that's what's involved.
Sure. I had to recreate a test page. http://www.frankfrankfrank.com/bluetiger/test-page/
The first row with columns is a visual composer row containing two visual composer columns. Each column contains a nectar full-width element. Don't know why the right column is shorter?
The 2nd row uses the same trick with sliders instead of text. Again, overlapping. I'd actually like to do this with just photos. Kind of like the portfolio element on the home page of your demo.
The 3rd & 5th rows are the same nectar full width elements contained in nectar shortcoded 1/2 columns. It would seem to work the same but you'll see the top of the fifth row gets hidden under the slider.
What I want to accomplish is something similar to this: https://www.harrys.com/give-a-shave
Also, you're not releasing the next version this week, are you? My site is due to go live on Sat.
So you shouldn't be using a full width element inside of a column - you should be setting each parent row as full width content which will make all columns inside full width like you want and then go about add stuff inside each of those. If you wanna let me log in I'd be glad to setup an example for you.
Also, the next version including the new features won't be out by the end of this week - i'm shooting for the end of next week.

Hey Everyone!
Nauman - sounds good, i'll be here when you're ready :)
Thea - Can you please provide me with a URL to the page so I can see why they're overlapping?
Cheers!
