I am new to Wordpress so I apologize if this is Novice level, but I have two Questions. 1. At the top right of the page I have the additional header where it has all the social icons on the left and on the right it says no menu assigned. Is this specific to a login or can I just replace it with my mission statement. If so where can I change it. 2. I have seen the tutorial you have posted on editing sliders, and I unfortunately do not have the editor section called 'Nectar slider' in my left side panel in wordpress. I am running off of 3.8 currently, and I see on the tutorial you were as well. So not sure why I don't have this section. Please let me know if you have any suggestions, as I just want to edit one of the button colours on my home slider. Much appreciate it, The theme is awesome! Ashley

    Hey Ashley,

    1. You can edit what appears in the secondary menu in your appearance > menus just like the main navigation :)

    2. The Nectar Slider was added in Salient v2.0 if you're not on that version yet you need to upgrade in order to gain access to the new feature.

    Cheers :)

    Hey again,

Unfortunately if you update to any version it will still overwrite a lot of what you did if you edited the files directly without a child theme (2.0 was also one of the largest updates with thousands of line differences). Are your mods mostly contained in the style.css or did you tinker with a lot of the .php files too?

    Cheers

    Hey Ashley,

I'll be taking over this ticket now. Do you know which files in the theme you've changed?

Child themes work best if you only overwrite the files which you've changed, and not all of the files.

    Cheers :)

Hey Ashley, I'm a little confused as to what the problem is. Which version of the theme are you currently running? Cheers :)

And what happened when you tried to upgrade to the latest version?

Hey Ashley, upgrading the theme files will not break any pages/posts in the backend. However, we still recommend backing up your site fully before upgrading the theme, just in case of an error. Cheers :)

Hey Ashley, to download the latest version of the theme, you should go to the Downloads page in ThemeForest. Cheers :)
