please make sure you've activated location #1 and entered your lat/lng for that as well - just adding a lat/lng to the map center point won't add a marker.
I am having a similar problem although I dont have that plugin or any plugins. My marker doesnt appear and although I have my zoom set to 14 it shows no zoom at all. However if I do manually zoom the location is right so my longitude and latitude setting are good. Any ideas?
1. The lower the number, the closer you'll be looking so I would set it around 6-8.
2. Please ensure you have location #1 turned on with the lat/lng in for that as well. Just entering a lat/lng for the center point won't actually add a marker to the map. If you do indeed have location #1 on, please allow me to log in so I can check on why it's not working for you :)

there's no plugin needed, we were discussing the native functionality options and what should be set to display a marker correctly.
