    Do you know what it is I need to do to have the client's logo read by browsers to generate an iPhone or Android app button?

    Hi Tahir. I figured it out. Thank you. :) I'll share the link here. I don't have an iPhone but this may help others in forum search. I simply added the code in header php as directed and asigned my favicon the same name as suggested.
