    Hi Nectar

    There is a problem with the german letters like ä, ü, or ß. How can I fix this, still using open sans?

    Hey Flo!

    Could you please make sure you have the Load Ext Characters in Font option selected in Theme Options -> Typography Options . See screenshot for reference: http://prntscr.com/2zbnfz .

    Hi, i got a similar problem with these german special characters (ü,ä,ö), but only in Firefox and only on small characters.

    Please have a look at this blog post headline for example.

    In Safari and Chrome everything is fine but in Firefox the little dots above u a and o are a little bit displaced to the right.

    I am using standard OpenSans and have the option "Load Ext Characters" activated.

    I think it has something to do with the unicode or utf8 stuff but i don't know a lot about these things :)

    Hey!

    Its using the OpenSansSemiBold font which is likely causing and issue.


    Add this into the Custom CSS box located in your Salient Options panel :
    #page-header-bg h1 {
    font-family: "OpenSans" !important;}

    Hi thanks for the quick response, but it didn't worked.

    I think i doesn't work because there isn't a font-family called "OpenSans".

    I also tried "OpenSansRegular" but in all variants the little points are displaced.

    Right now i'm considering to change to a custome font but that would be sad because i like OpenSans ;)

    so i just found out that OpenSans Font doesn't support characters like U+00FC

    Okay so i have to change to another font because i can't tell my client to not use ä, ü and ö anymore ;D
