I'm hoping to have a header layout with a left aligned logo and a navbar underneath this. Ideally I'd like to position some content tot he right of the logo but can probably sort this myself.

Closest option within the theme is centered logo with centered navbar below. Essentially, this is what I'm after but with both logo and menu left aligned. Basically, something along the lines of http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/theme-options/header-navigation/#layout-related

Hi Tahir,

I've left aligned logo with nav below but can't see an easy way to have this sitting on a  full width coloured strip. Looking again at http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/theme-options/header-navigation/#layout-related it appears the blue navbar isn't part of the header. Is this correct?

Anyhoo, I need to make real progress on the site today and expect you won't be in touch until later so I'm going with an alternative theme set up by the agency I'm doing some work for. Not a patch on Salient though!

Thanks for this. FYI this is the kind of header I was hoping to achieve... http://harrogatesteel.dnademo.co.uk/2nd-home/ but, as i said reverted to an agency theme (which is already driving me insane!).

I'll revert the site to salient for a couple of hours, if you're able to help with css but I appreciate this is probs outside your scope of support!
