Page Header to imitate my Full W Shortcode example

So in the link, I started working out a page with a nice tall "header" (but the Heading in this case is created using Shortcodes within the body)

So my 2 part question, (Q1 will be moot if Q2's answer is "rely on the plugin anyway")

Q1: Using Page Header Settings, I'd like it to take on more of the look and feel of the section right below the *actual heading*

BUT caveat, I don't wish to do this to each and every instance on every page… but just the capacity to when needed.

Check out the Attached Skitch shot too… it'll explain more.

Q2: I use an SEO plugin (Yoast). If it takes care of the Page Titles (overwrites what I would put in the Page Heading Settings) anyway, then don't even worry with this.  :-)

I'll just keep using the plugin > input my SEO titles/settings > use the more-flexible shortcodes in the body of the page > call it a day!

    Thanks ThemeNectar

Hey Drew! Sorry for the delay (was on a short break since Thursday) - thanks for your patience!

Yoast is not going to overwrite the header of the page header set because that data is coming from the custom input fields Salient gives you in the Page Header Settings box. However, the biggest challenge this mod poses is changing the way it looks for specific pages only. Essentially the only way to do this would be to do place the css on each page you need the mod to be rather than in the Custom CSS box located in your Salient Options panel. Also, the ability to align the page heading left/right/center + break out of the column for full width is coming in the next update so it's probably just worth waiting the time (one-two weeks) for this to become built in :)

    Cheers

Ok, cool. Thanks for the reply, don't worry 'bout the wait. Always something to do around here and I imagine, you need a break! :-)

Well, I think I'll stick with (for now)

    1) Turning off the page header

    2) Continue to use Yoast for what search engines see

    3) use the shortcodes to build things in the body

Thanks for such a winning theme. Take care. (left you, another question ;-)
