I am only showing posts from the dining category and all 4 of the posts have featured images, but I'm still only seeing the same thing from the video I sent.
You can see as the page loads, the posts flash for a second on the page and you can see the images, then they disappear and you get what's on the page now.
I created a page here http://screensmartdev.wpengine.com/test/ it is the default template with the blog carousel from salient templates. I still get the same issue.
I am trying to use a recent posts slider, however I can not get it to work. It keeps breaking the page layout. Here is a video explanation: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0vch68jz8s3k9ao/GSM-Blog%20Slider%20Issue.mp4?dl=0

Hey Again,
You need to setup a Featured Image for Each project to show its own image.

Hey Again,
Try using the Default Page Template and add in the Recent Posts element via the Page Builder. Also see: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/salient-studio/ .
Try using the Optimization plugins recommended in this Article http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/performance-optimization-guide/ and check if that makes a difference .
If you have Page Transitions Turned On Please Switch the Animated Transition Method to "Standard" in Salient Theme Options -> Page Transition Section.
Also be sure to check/uncheck this Disable Fade Out On Click option : http://prntscr.com/8f3bj7

I created a page here http://screensmartdev.wpengine.com/test/ it is the default template with the blog carousel from salient templates. I still get the same issue.
Also, I tried the optimization plugins but still the same result. I uninstalled it for now. I also do not have anything turned on on page transitions.
