When the slider is set to auto-play mode, I notice that the slider does not stop while embedded YouTube videos are playing except if I clicked on the 'Navigation Arrows' of the slider previously. Is there a workaround to this? Thanks!

    Hey Matthew!

This is a known issue and will likely be resolved in the upcoming update .

That's great to hear! Would you have an ETA for that update?

I just installed Version 4 of Salient but it did not fix my problem. The Home Slider continues to move forward while an embedded YouTube Video is playing, unless the user clicked the arrows to navigate through the slider before hand. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Hey Matthew! Unfortunately Tahir was slightly misinformed on this one (mixed up video issues) -

There's no way to control a slider based on actions/events in an embedded video since the video is technically not on the site itself (javascript can't get at it). If you're goal is to have the slider stop when playing a video I'd recommend using the self hosted option and it will work as you desire. However, if you simply don't want the slider to autorotate at all you can remove that in the Home Options tab in the Salient options panel.

    Cheers :)

I understand, thanks for clarifying that.

I'm just curious, do you think there would be a (reasonable & sane) way to use the YouTube APIs and modify the Slider's Javascript or PHP files so that audio is automatically disabled in these embedded videos? So that at the very least, the annoying factor of hearing the audio from the previous slider is mitigated. I'd be comfortable with modifying the Javascript or PHP files, I just wanted to know your thoughts on how feasible this might be based on how your team initially designed the slider.

    Hey Matthew!

You could simply use the Revolution Slider plugin. We have theme version 4.0.2 released though i am not sure if this issue was sorted. Also please see our changlog for more info http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html .

    Thanks
