Multiple updates - What order is best?

    Hi Guys,

    Would really appreciate your help with this.

    For various reasons we have held back updating our website.

    Currently running Salient 8.5.6 (Child Theme).

    We are now looking ahead/planning to update but have a few updates to consider below:-

    • Salient 10.0.1
    • PHP 7.2 (our host WPEngine has set a date of March 28th)
    • WordPress 5.0.3

    With these multiple updates which order would you execute them to avoid conflicts/issues?

    and to clarify Salient is now all good with php7.2?

    Hey Again,

    First update WP and PHP then the Theme and Page Builder plugin.

    Please update to Salient Theme Version 10.0.1 and Salient WPBakery Page Builder 5.6 . 

    If you are not seeing the Plugin Update Notification you need to uncheck the " Disable Theme Reccomended Plugin Notifications " Field in "Salient Theme Options Panel"  -> General Settings -> "Toggle Theme Features" Section .

    To get a list of Bug Fixes and new Feature addons in the Latest Theme update,  the changelog can be viewed here : http://themenectar.com/changelogs/salient.html .

    Update the theme by following this guide: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/updating-salient/ .
