Just to start, please note that I read through some of the past tickets and followed the processes that you suggested to others, which you will find detailed below.
My client's requirement prescribe a searchable book review plugin. I installed and activated Recencio because it provides useful tools and conforms to Salient's styling, keeping the clean and functional look. It functions like a blog post, just tailored to ISBNs.
But here's the conundrum: For any book review author, the natively created associated archive is blank. Not only are the book reviews missing visually, but so are the author's standard blog posts. However, if you scroll your mouse over the blank space, it will pick up hotspots, which do indeed lead to the review posts and standard posts. I'm using the author David Oughton as an example.
View all reviews / Read more by David Oughton – All Posts… But look carefully. If you run your mouse over the blank space, you will find hotspots, that lead to the articles/reviews.: https://globalsolutions.org/author/davidoughton/
I deactivated all plugins until the issue corrected, and then started reactivating, and re-saving permalinks… All was well until I reactivated Recencio. So I reached out to the Recencio developer, Kemory Grubb, seeking answers.
He responded very quickly, and thoroughly. Read the following:
So, what is happening is that, for some reason, on this particular page the part of your theme that handles the fade-in effect is broken. If you check your browser’s JavaScript console you’ll see the error message Uncaught TypeError: $blog_containers[i].isotope is not a function. So this is a theme related issue.
You can fix it by adding this CSS style code below to the WordPress customize CSS section
Not very keen to lose the fade in effect, I nevertheless looked into Salient>Blog>Styling>Masonry Style where the setting is Classic Enhanced and Salient>Blog>Styling>Load In Animation is None. Hmmmm...
So next, I returned to Salient>Blog>Styling>Masonry Style and changed the setting to Auto Masonry: Meta Overlaid Spaced. And voila! David Oughton's natively created page displays his work. Ah... But the problem here is, that masonry style is out of synch with the rest of the site. So I tried the other options, with and without animation. Here are the results:
* Classic: Blank page
* Classic Enhanced: Blank page
* Material: Blank page
* Meta Overlaid: Blank page
* Meta Overlaid Spaced: Displays
Now I could try the CSS Kemory Grubb suggested, but I thought it would be best to try to narrow down the issue as much as possible, maybe even find a work-around, and then reach in and connect with you guys. I'd like to know what you would suggest, and better yet, a string of CSS code I could implement.
Thank you for your time, patience and consideration.
There seems to be a JS code conflict with the Isotope Library being used. My Guess is the "Imagesloaded" Js library is duplicating. The console error he is referring to is this : http://prntscr.com/mj938p .
I wouldn't know which scripts to remove. I do not know how to work with JS code. The plugin developer's warning is quite clear that unless one has the skill, using the plugin you suggest could break the site. This is very discouraging.
Is there not a more elegant way to address this conflict?

Ah... But now look at the blog post author, Jennifer Keck. She does not have any book reviews, yet her archive is just fine.

Hello @contentgaucha
I’ve looked the issue you have with that page.
So, what is happening is that, for some reason, on this particular page the part of your theme that handles the fade-in effect is broken. If you check your browser’s JavaScript console you’ll see the error message Uncaught TypeError: $blog_containers[i].isotope is not a function. So this is a theme related issue.
You can fix it by adding this CSS style code below to the WordPress customize CSS section
.masonry-blog-item .inner-wrap { opacity: 1 !important; }Or you can disable your theme’s fade-in effects.

There are roughly nine days of support left. Is there a missing response to my query?
I'd like to know what you would suggest, and better yet, a string of CSS code I could implement.
Hey Again, Hope you had a Great Weekend,
There seems to be a JS code conflict with the Isotope Library being used. My Guess is the "Imagesloaded" Js library is duplicating. The console error he is referring to is this : http://prntscr.com/mj938p .
You can try and use this plugin to remove the unnecessary JS scripts that might be causing the conflict: https://wordpress.org/plugins/asset-queue-manager/ .

Hey,
I wouldn't know which scripts to remove. I do not know how to work with JS code. The plugin developer's warning is quite clear that unless one has the skill, using the plugin you suggest could break the site. This is very discouraging.
